Having read many if not all of the threads concerning organising SENT items
into folders, it seems the convoluted solution is to:
a) Turn off Save copies of messages in Sent items folder (in E-Mail options)
b) For each folder you want to move messages to, create a rule that
identifies those messages and moves mail to that folder. End each such rule
with Stop processing more rules.
c) Add a catch-all rule (which has to be the last one) that moves all the
"other" sent mail to the Sent folder (if you care to)
However, this still leaves the problem that the messages so moved are all
marked UNREAD which is confusing and patently wrong. A way to mark as unread
would fix this.
Even better, make the process of organising the sent folder very much
simpler. It's crazy to have to do all of the above.
