New sony laptop but product key ain't working.

I just purchased a sony laptop with home premium windows 7 and th
product key that's on the botton just ain't working, keep saying it'
invalid.
Any advise, please

The key on the base of the laptop is for win, as it clearly states
Any Office version you have installed will be a Trial, unless you paid extra
for Office
If its a trial, Activate it
