'New' templates removal??

Hi,
Using Win 98SE & Office 2000, msoffice.exe V 9.0.2601. Word V
9.0.6926 SP-3. Excel V 9.0.6926 SP-3. Frontpage 2000 V 4.0.2.6625 SP-3.

Basically what I want to do is get rid of all the unnecessary clutter of
available templates available from clicking 'NEW' from Word or Excel etc and
those available from the MSoffice shortcut bar's 'New office document' icon.

I have removed the templates folder from C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office which has reduced the number of tabs seen in the 'New' box
from Word but 'Legal Pleadings, letters & faxes, memos, other documents,
publications, reports, web pages are still present along with 2 entries I
have put there myself via a new folder in C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates.

All those entries that I've seen so far aren't even installed yet so for
example 'NEW-MEMO-ELEGANT MEMO' which I'll never want isn't installed but
the entry is there. How can I get rid of the tab for MEMOS.

The MSoffice shortcut bar also lists many more templates in template groups
for a wider range of office applications, can these be removed in the same
way?.

I also just noticed that moving the C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office\Templates folder makes Frontpage express attempt to install
the items again. I have just put it back and the installer still kicks in.
Where do the folders/files 'TEMPLATES\1033\CSS,FRAMES,PAGES,WEBS' live?

TIA
Tim Whiteaway
