New to Macs and Entourage

Hi, I am trying to get to learn Entourage over the Christmas break - I have
switched from PC and Office Outlook to Macs and Office Entourage.

A couple of questions:
1. I have some accounts on an Exchange server and a number of Pop accounts
that are collected externally from the Exchange server. On my PC's I
simply set up my Exchange account in Outlook and all messages from both the
Exchange and POP accounts went into the same Inbox.

It seems that my POP accounts are going into the Inbox on 'my Computer'
whilst those via the Exchange server and going into that Inbox.

I am assuming that I have something set up incorrectly, but not sure what.

2. I am using Entourage also for the News Server. However each thread seems
to be showing as a separate message. Is there an y easy way to link threads
from the same topic together?

Thanks

Hi Alex,

welcome to the Mac. See inline for answers.

Not at all; that is the default behaviour in Entourage. POP messages go into
the local inbox whereas IMAP, Exchange, and HTML accounts use their own
inboxes. You could work around this by setting up rules that automatically
move or copy incoming messages into your local inbox.

Create a custom arrangement. Click on View>Arrange By>Edit Custom
Arrangements. In the new window that opens, create a new arrangement that
looks as follows:

Group items by: Subject
Sort groups by: Sent | Newest on top
Sort items within groups by: Sent | Newest on top
Default display for groups: Expanded

Keep in mind that this is only a suggestion based on my personal preference.
If you prefer having the oldest items on top, adapt the arrangement to suit
your own needs. Save the arrangement, then go back to the main window. Click
View>Arrange By>Show in Groups and View>Arrange By>[your custom
arrangement]. It should be noted that this custom arrangement does not give
you a properly threaded view; it only regroups messages with the same
subject line.

Thank you Michel - both suggestions worked a treat.
