New to Office 2004 for the Mac (Student & Teacher Edition)

I am interested in knowing a good resource book or CD that can teach
me this particular version of Office for my new Mac.

Also, I am interested in learning about Microsoft Office Specialist
Certification. Which version is recommended I pursue certification in
that would position my Microsoft Office knowledge for the today's
business environment and future?

I am interested in any guidance with the above.

Many thanks.

To my knowledge, there are no books or CD specifically for Mac office.
However, it is similar enough to windows Office that any book or CD for that
would be a good start. Perhaps you did not know it, but you do indeed have a
good source already. Go to the project gallery, click on the Learn tab and
explore Discovering Office.

There are a couple of books available, including "Visual Quickstart" and
"The Missing Manual". Depending on what aspect of the apps you're
looking for, nearly any app-specific book (Win or Mac) is likely to be
more useful than an omnibus.

Note that there's no difference between the Student & Teacher edition
and the Standard or Pro editions of MacOffice apps (S&T comes with 3
licenses rather than 1, and Pro includes Virtual PC).

There is no MOS certification for Mac Office, and it's exceedingly
unlikely that there will be any time soon.

I would guess that the Office 2003 cert would be most useful of those
currently offered - I don't know if and when a 2007 cert will become
available.

Check out the Get Started Pages for Entourage. It covers the basics to get a
quick start.

Another good resource is "Take Control of What's New in Entourage 2004"

Reasonable priced at $5.
