new to outlook. can anyone tell me how to get appointments
circled when viewing 'day,week, month with auto preview?
want to keep this view but see highlight on dates such as
birthdays etc tried labelling but have to manually pick a
known date - would like to see at a glance for each month

You can't circle appointments - which view are you using - the day or week
planner or month grid? Labels show up on each of the views, but not on the
thumbnail calendars.
