New to Project! How to link split tasks?

[I_Need_Help]

Hi
I have a task that runs for two weeks then after one week another task is
added that requires me to pause the existing task and start the new task
then I return to the remaining part of the original task.

So I split the original task and want to link from within the split out to
the new task and then from the new task back down to the remaining part of
the split task!

I hope this makes sense!


Also how do I import and from where the calendar with bank holidays in it?

I Need Help --

You cannot link to/from task splits. I would recommend that you break this
situation into three tasks, such as:

Task A
Task B
Task A Continues

Link them with a Finish-to-Start dependency. Hope this helps.
