We are using Outlook 2003 sp3 with Exchange on Windows xp.
One of our users is unable to open ANY HTML-formatted custom form in
OUtlook. The error she receives is "The form you selected could not be
displayed. An OLE Registration error occured. The program is not correctly
installed. Run Setup again for the program."
Typically with form problems, you delete the form cache file and possibly
also delete the associated directory which forces the form to reinstall.
I've done all that to no avail. The form will reinstall but still generates
the error.
For the OLE portion of the error I've seen the suggestion to rereg
ole32.dll. I tried that but it won't successfully re-register. I tried
unreging first and that didn't help. Reinstalling Office in our environment
isn't really a good idea.
RTF custom forms work fine. Word is not set as the email editor. Nothing
is disabled in Outlook and the user has no unusual addins listed.
What else can I try?
