New "Unable to Download Controls" error

A resource has been using MS Web Access for a few months, and all of a
sudden when he logs on to input his time he gets an "Unable to download
controls" error. The two PJ files were still installed on his computer and
were not damaged. We tried going to other Web Access pages on different
servers and databases but we got the same message each time.

What could have cause Web Access to all of a sudden stop working? How can
we get the controls re-registered or reinstalled so he is able to log on?
How can we prevent this in the future?

We have upgraded to SP2, and this is only happening for 1 resource. We have
about 600 people using Web Access and I have not heard of this happening
with anyone else.

Hi Andy,

thanks for your reply. We have to try to find out if it is user related.
Can you please log on the same PC where the user logs on and see if you have
the same problem with the logon than the user. If not, can you please let
the user logon to another PC and see if the problem still occurs. If this is
the case then we know it is user related.
In this case you should check the users right and compare it with the right
of a user where the access works fine. I can imagine that you will find
something within the access rights.
Should however you have the same problem on this PC and the user can logon
fine to another PC then you will need to replace the Active X files on the
faulty computer. This should then rectify the issue
Please let me know if it worked.
Thanks

It is not user related. He can log on with his account on my PC, and I
cannot log on with my account on his PC. I have checked her permissions,
and he is the administrator for his PC. He had been using Web Access for a
while then one time when he logged on it stopped working for him. Thinking
there was something wrong with the ActiveX controls we deleted them and
tried to reinstall them. We set ActiveX to prompt when downloading. We got
the prompt for both, but after accepting both controls, it would still not
allow us to download the controls. Same error as before "Unable to download
controls..."

Any other ideas how we can get the ActiveX controls on there and working?
