New User set up windows authentication issues in PWA.

Hi

We are running Projectserver 2003, SP2. I am logged into the PWA as admin,
setting some new users up to windows authentication, which has been fine
apart from one user where I am continually getting "the user could not be
created check the spelling and domain and for duplication" all of which has
been checked with the user".

Suzanne,

Have you tried adding the new user as a resource in Project Pro Enterprise
Resource Pool? That this result in the same error message?

Hi Marc,

The resource is already added within the Enterprise Resource Pool
successfully, it's the PWA area that doesn't want to accept windows
authentication but only for this user.

I have checked with him its the correct domain and username and I've also
tried removing him from the resource pool and re-adding him to see if that
made a difference.

Hi Suzanne,
Its' worth checking again. I've come across situations in large companies
with multiple domains and trusts where people don't actually know their
domain. Get them to write down their full login credentials, or screen dump
their windows login. HTH...
