I'm creating a catalog using Publisher 2003.

I've got 6 photo's per page with one text box label directly above and one
directly below each image.

The images are not the same size...but don't vary by that much.

Just wondering if there is some automatic way to align all objects on the
page at once...
or in general the best way to align everything so it looks good when
printed.

Thus far I've been aligning thing manually but know there is a better way...

I've not gotten too far by reading the help files or by trial end error!

Thanks

I'm working with an initially blank page

That's quite obvious ;->

Under the Tools menu you can select Snap to objects, Snap to ruler marks or
Snap to margins. Also under the Arrange menu you can select columns and
rows and centering of objects.

If you aren't using the catalog merge, create a one column table with as many
cells you need for the text and pictures. Use guide lines to make the cells
exact for the photos and text. With your cursor in the picture cell, fill, fill
effects, picture tab, browse to your photo.

Ok I just got home from work and gave it a try...Though I'm not an expert
yet...you've got me headed in the right direction...
the publication will be quite nice when I get done.

Thank you!

Hey Philo, I'm glad I could help. I would love to see your final publication.
Thanks for posting back, it is appreciated.

Ok...
Though I don't have everything lines up perfectly yet...I'm real close to
creating a master page...
once that's done...the rest should be fairly straight-foreword.

I've got two months to complete the project. It will be a two-part
endeavor...consisting of a video slide show...
along with a calalog of all the art displayed. I do volunteer work for a
non-profit organization and have gotten
submissions for an international art show. There will be 250 - 300 images in
all.

If you want to receive a copy of the catalog email me : philo565 (at)

Thank you so much...I was pretty clueless as how to start...
I'm good at hardware...and up until now have not done much with the
software!
But I did volunteer for this project you know :)
