new version of access

I had created a database in access 97 and we recently
switched to windows xp and got a newer version of access.
When we opened the database we had to convert it to the
newer version.

Now when i go to print a report, the background of the
report is grey, i tried to change the background color it
won't, it stays grey

any suggestions, inputs, thoughts are greatly
appreciated
