new version of ON?

When shall we expect a new version for ON?

I would like to be able to create a global template and have some other
essential features which
have never been there in ON...

Do I have to wait till 2009?

From what I've read the next version of Office is scheduled for release in
the Fall of 2009 assuming Microsoft can stay on schedule. I suspect ON will
be released at that time.

which means that 2010...

Till 2010 I need to set a template because there is no global template....
Till 2010 ON will make me crazy....

I want to cry....

Your question posted here on 2 Nov in relation to global templates and a
Service Pack for ON2007 got the same reply.

Unless someone comes up with a Powertoy in the meantime, we're all going to
have to wait.

A new version of OneNote is under development. A release date has not
yet been announced. The list of features to be included in the next
version has not yet been announced. If you have specific feature
suggestions, you should submit them through
http://connect.microsoft.com/onenote

This is not true. It was about a service pack.
Here the question is on a new version of ON.
Please do not lecture.

I know.

It was not intended to be read that way.

I was merely commenting that you've posted the same question a couple of
times here and got the same reply each time. Sorry if that offends you.

We know you desperately want global templates - so do I.

If you go to http://connect.microsoft.com/onenote you'll see that global
templates is currently one of the top rated feature suggestions.

Feel free to add your vote there.
