New Word 2002 User: Getting Rid of Wiggly Spell. & Grammar Underlines: How, Please ?

Hi,

New Word 2002 (and XP) user.

Honest, I looked, but can't seem to find it.

a. How do I get rid of the green and red underlines that apparently are
telling me to check grammar and spelling ?

b. How about the animation(s) that come up in the lower right hand-bottom
of the screen.
Or, are these something set in XP ? If so, how do I get rid of these ?

Much thanks,
Bob

Hey Bob,
If you want the quick way to get rid of them here ya
go:
[1] Go to the tools menu.
[2] At the very bottom, click on options.
[3] When the "Options" box opens up, click on the
"Spelling & Grammar" tab.
[4] First you should see the options for "Spelling."
* Check the "Hide Spelling Errors In This
Document" box.
[5] Next go to the "Grammar" options at the bottom.
* Check the "Hide Grammatical Errors In This
Document" box.

All your problems should be fixed. Now if you want to
check your grammar & spelling, all you have to do is go
to "Tools" & click on the "Check Spelling & Grammar"
option when you want to use them. There should no
longer be any red or green squiggly lines.

Hope This Helps...
