I have just started using MS after living with Netscape for about 10 years.
Now with 7x they have shot themselves in the foot and there are all sorts of
bugs.
So far in MS no real bugs and only a few questions which are all about
Newsgroups.
1. In the view menu, columns option there are 'online status' and 'message
status' What are they?
2. When displaying the group headers the thread indicator always comes up
pointing at the header and not opening it and showing all the sub messages.
How can I get it to come up open with all the messages showing?
3. When the thread is opened, it doesn't show a hierarchy - like what
message answered which. How can I get it to do that.
4. When I select look at newsgroups, can I get the displayed message count
to show just 'unread'? Here I have an oddity. One of my subscribed groups
does that. The others all show the cumulative amount of messages on the
server, read and unread.
