Newbie archiving question - Outlook 2003

I know about squat as far as outlook archiving goes. I have one user
running off an exchange server whose mailbox needs a lot of slack but I have
a very large mailbox - currently 12 GIG with many subfolders based on the
clients name in my inbox. Is there a way to create auto archives for
specific folders automatically based on date - possibly all folders 6 months
old


E.G.

Say I have a inbox with 20 subfolders such as

Widgets

Acme

A1



And I don't want to search through many archives and I fear having an
archive that is too large so I'd like it auto broken down by subfolder. I'd
love for there to be a Widgets.pst file with all mail that was in that
subfolder that is 6 months or older and a separate A1.pst file etc. I know
how to do this manually but it would be sweet if there was a way to
automatically create an archive for each subfolder.

Not automatically. The archive .pst file will mirror the folder structure in your mailbox. You might want to look at 3rd party tools -- see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm
