Newbie: Formatting text in a report?

E

Ed from AZ

I can change the font and size of my text in a report in Access 2003,
but I can't find where I can format the line spacing. Is that a
property of the text, like in Word? Or is that a property of the text
box that I see in the form in Design view? Is there an easy way to
auto-size the text box to the height and line spacing of the text?

Also, might there be an on-line tutorial that can walk me through
reports?

If you're using a standard text box (presumably with CanGrow=True) you
cannot control the line spacing.
Perhaps if you used an RTF control (e.g.
http://www.lebans.com/richtext.htm) you might get more control over
such properties.
Or create an HTML document, which can then be used in Word.

Hi, Tom. Greetings from the lower left corner of AZ!

I found the Size to Fit command, and that seems to be working a bit.
It looks like it might just take some arrainging in Design view to get
everything to look right. That just seems such a tedious way to build
a report, though, so I thought there must be a better way. Maybe
not . . .

Thanks for the boost!
