I am new to Infopath and Sharepoint 2007 Server. I am trying to determine
basic hardware / software system requirements before implementing anything.
We have about 10-12 users. the dedicated server I have running Sharepoint
and Infopath (test environment) is a Xeon 3Ghz with 2GB of RAM.
My question is, will it be necessary for me to have a seperate server
running SQL for the backend or is the default installation suitable for a
small organization of my size?
What caviats do I need to watch out for as my database increases in size?
(I intend to use a great deal of the functionality of Sharepoint as well as
Infopath.)
How large of a database can I maintain before I will need a dedicated
back-end server?
Can I add the backend server later or do I need to do it at the onset of my
installation?
I'm sure once I get up and running I'll have questions more suitable to this
forum, but I'd appreciate any helpful tips.
Thanks,
Al
