[newbie] How do I store user info?

Hi, hope you can help,
I'm writing some code to help people save Visio files to a SharePoint
document library. The user may have a few different "favourite" doc
libraries she wants to save to - what's the best way to store that info
for that user?

I don't *think* I want to use the registry, but I don't know, is there a
"better" way? I was thinking about writing files to the user's %Appdata%
directory, but then I can imagine there must be heaps of gotchas that go
with that sort of thing.

My environment is Visio 2002/2003.

Any tips or links to sites that give examples would be fantastic! Thanks!!

Hi Ben

I've been looking for a similar kind of thing, and I think the
consensus is that the registry is the way to go. Here's a link:

It's for excel, so it'll need a little alteration but the main part
should be the same.
