Newbie InfoPath Question

I brand new to InfoPath and here's what I'm trying to do.

Can I use InfoPath to create a template and pull data from an external data
source(e.g.DB2)to populate the controls in my InfoPath document. The users
will not need to key anything into the document. We're trying to replace a
forms document software that we have currently have on the IBM AS/400
midrange computer.

Yes, you can. But, you will need to built a Web Service between your DB2 and
IP. Only MS Access and SQL Server are native in InfoPath.
