John,
Thanks for the response - Here is an example, btw, this is Visio 2003
Pro:
I start a new drawing and choose "basic network" from Visio's preset
categories under "Networking" category.
Then I drop a shape from "Basic network shapes" onto the drawing, I
choose "Power Mac G4", for example - it has a text label and the only
way I can see to get rid of the label is to delete the text. The only
way to show a label again is to re-type after deleting text.
Then if I open the "Visio Network Equipment sampler" and choose for
example, the first shape available, "3Com 3C35001", then a right-click
offers to turn on/off equipment label and the ability to edit it.
Right clicking the "Power Mac G4" does not have the same dialog box as
the 3com shape.
I really like the ability to show/hide/edit equipment labels but only
seems to be available with certain shapes. Is there some way to enable
this feature for all shapes?
Thanks
