hi there,
first time trying to use visio to draw a floor plan for my apartment and it
is frustrating at best. couldn't find a way to merge rooms into the shapes
- when i combine or merge the rooms, walls at the cross-section always
display where they should be gone (that's called merging - like adobe
illustrator). so i used spaces in order to create the desired "interior"
shape of my apartment. but when i choose "convert to walls", the walls
appear "INSIDE" the shape, and there's no option for me to place them along
the outside of the shape. this is ridiculous, i can't very well measure the
outside of the apartment, including the width of the walls, can i. now i
have to draw the EXTERIOR walls along the outside of the shape little by
little, and hope the walls will snap to the points not to the grid lines.
any help on solving this problem is much appreciated
thanx
