Newbie - Project Installation

T

test

Hi

Please forgive me, I am a newbie at Project server 2003. I was reading
through the Small scale installation guide. In the diagram depicting the
best sceanrio for installation, I noticed they had the SQL on a separate
server from the Project and SharePoint server.

In my scenario, I am limited on hardware resources and I am looking to
install all of them on the same server. Would this cause any problems.

Do I need to install Analysis services in my environment. What is the
benefit of using this product. I have already created 2 user accounts, one
to allow Porject server to access Windows SharePoint services and the other
to allow Project server to access the SQL database.

At what point should WSS be installed.

Sorry for all the questions, I would like to ensure I understand fully
before proceeding.

Thanks

GC: You can install on one box, however performance will depend on the
server sizing and number of users.

GC: This is optional, but you loose the portfolio analyzer and modeler by
not installing Analysis services

At what point should WSS be installed.
GC: I think it's easier to install WSS first, but you can install it
afterwards.
