Newbie publishing hangup

Hi,
I'm trying to publish my first FP2002 project and can't get FP to see
the site. The server guy thinks it must be a security, or some such,
setting in XP that FP can't get around. Tried turning off the firewall
and shutting down anti-virus to no avail.
Any ideas what may be the problem?
Cheers

With your FP local web/site open,
Are you using File Publish Web/Site and entering the URL as
http://www.yourdomain.com/

Try browsing to your URL in IE and selecting File Edit w/ FP (to see if the site has the FP Se and will open)
Also look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324843

| Yeah, I am actually. FP gives me " a web site does not exist at
| http://www.yourdomain.com/ Would you like Frontpage to create a web at
| that location?"
| If I say yes, then FP gives me a list of possible reasons why it can't
| open the site.
