newbie questing: using VEA

Hi,

I am trying to create a database using VEA.
I am trying to figure out how to use the "Database" menu.
I search google for any doc for this but I find nothing useful.
Clicking the help icon in the Wizard gives nothing but an empty help screen.

There are "Update..." and "Generate..." menu under the "database" menu. I
am gussing that "Update" means if I have an existing database, clicking
Update will update the data structure but keep the records intact in the
database.

But everytime I click "Update", nothing is updated in the database but Visio
adds a bunch of tables with IM0, IM1, etc. to the database.

I am thinking "drag and drop for dummy" doesn't work here.

Would you guys show me how to do it please?

Hi Al...


Is it more about database modeling... about what is tuples... what is
keys... etc. kinda things like that?
or is it more about "Using" Visio for dummies kinda like "click this to do
this and then click that to do that..." kinda things?

are you looking for knowledge on designing a database, or, are you looking
for knowledge on how to use a tool to create a database model (the second
assumes expertise relative to the first)?

Hi Al,

This link seems to answer my question on all those IM0, IM1 tables that are
added to the database.
