Newbie question - converting from VBA?

First time of reading this NG and using MACs ...

I've produced a VAT Return form (UK tax regime) on the
PC running Windows, only to find that my friend has Excel 2008
which won't accept VBA.

I know very little about Macs; is there a downloadable utility to
convert Excel VBA programs (including command buttons)
into the Mac format?

Just what are Microsoft playing at? Trying to guarantee their
own job security and incomes by changing all the well-established
ground rules? No wonder Linux is gaining such a hold!

Do Microsoft not realise that despite their veru large presence in
the commercial world, that such actions are the nails in their coffin?

DEC once ruled the minicomputer world but is now no more
because of such similar monopolistic (antitrust for the Yanks)
attitudes

Yes, it has been publicized for a long time, at least a year before Office
2008 was released that it would not support VBA.

No. there are no conversion utilities.

No one is playing. Microsoft was simply caught with the usual limitations of
life, budget, and time.

They absolutely do. That is why they have announced that VBA will be
returning in the next version of Office.
