Newbie question on buttons

Craig Schiller

Please be kind, I'm a complete newbie to FP 2002 (although I am computer
literate).

I bought a web theme, which I like except for the plain vanilla text
buttons it uses as navigation links. I'd like to replace these with
jazzier graphical buttons which change appearance when they are selected
and moused over. I haven't got a clue as to how to do this, the Help
function in FP deals only with changing buttons on the program's
toolbars (!), and I haven't found any tutorial info on the web.

Can anyone supply this procedure or point me in the right direction as
to where I can find this information on the net?

Thanks very much in advance.

Craig

Have you contact the author of the theme you purchased for help?

Note: Search engines prefer text hyperlinks over image hyperlinks.

If you plan to submit your site to the major search engines, they prefer
text hyperlink over image hyperlink when attempting to index your web site,
since they would also include the actual text of the link, which is not
possible with image links, and most no longer index the ALT tag text.

You will want to avoid using the FP Hover button applet, as it requires
users to have a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed, otherwise it will not
work, so then users will not be able to navigation at all. This applies to
many users of Windows XP, IE6 and NS6 and up.

You would need to look into using JavaScript mouse overs scripts.

Oy. And just as I'd figured out why the button wasn't displaying.

Good grief. Thanks, Thomas.
