Newbie Question re Scanned In Graphics (Word 2000)

I need to scan in a lot of black and white (no color and very few shades of
gray) legal forms to be completed in Word 2000. What graphics format would
be the best to allow for very good quality but which will not lead to too
much file bloat? I presume that it would be best to place these full page
forms into a header so that I can easily "type in" over them; is that right?

Given the amount of money lawyers make :) perhaps your company could run to
a copy of the corporate edition Finereader

invaluable tool for scanning and filling forms that is much easier to work
with than Word.

He's right but in the meantime either tiff or jpg will
work. The best way may be to insert the image and then set
it to 'over text'(or 'Float over text' depending on which
version you have) and then create text boxes over the
places you want to fill in. Alternatively you could set it
to 'behind text' and use the tabs alot. Either way should
work. However It would probably be best to have one Word
document for each form.
