Newbie Question?

I have a website created with FP

I want to start another website or just a page
I choose NEW then PAGE

Why does it keep loading the theme and background image of the old website
rather than just giving me a blank page which is what I want.

What is the proper way to cure this.

Try going into FORMAT on the toolbar. then THEME and choose blank page.
