when i do a web page on the computer every thing looks fine, but when
i uploaded it to the web instead of the navigation buttons down the
left side of the web page like it was on the computer, i now have the
same navigation buttons across the top and bottom as well as the usual
ones down the side. i check the computer it it still looks fine.

This COULD be...

You need to be checking your web pages on different screen widths, or
setting screen widths using preset tanles with width values that are
not variable.

<table width = 600> instead of<table> or <table width=100%>

Please allow me to clarify the problem - I'm having the same thing!!!

Two seperate navigation bars - one at the top horizontally and one
vertically down the side, and when published both bars become identical,
even though they look fine on the local version.

I've figured out with the help of our webhost that the extensions used on
the server are older than those in the version of FrontPage being used, and
this is causing the navigation problem. The best way to cure it besides
badgering your host is to change your publish method from 'FrontPage or
SharePoint Services' to 'FTP' and suffer the necessary manual uploading of
images. Then wait for your webhost to upgrade!

If any of this doesn't sound right to the experts out there please do let us
know if there is another solution!!!
