Newbie to Database... Locked myself out. HELP!

E

Eric Dykstra

I have never used Access or databases before. I created a database for work,
and was trying to hide the database window as well as some of the menus from
other people who would be using this file. I went through Tools>Startup and
set the default form, as well as restricting full menus.

I was told by a co-worker that this would not effect my access as the
creator, but she was wrong.

How do I get my menus and full control back? My menus are skeleton, and I
can't even get back to the "Startup" option again to reverse this.

Thanks for your help,
Eric

Try holding down the shift key when you open the database.

This will probably cure the problem. Once you are in, you can reset your
application or just remember to open with the shift key pressed when you
want to get full menus and design mode.

Hold down the shift key when you open the file.
