NEWBIE - Turn off Resource Leveling?

D

Dave

Greetings,

Is there a setting that I can turn off automatic resource leveling across
the enterprise? In other words, we want resources to be able to be, say
250% allocated so we can go in and remedy it instead of Project Server just
delaying finish dates to accommodate for it.

Thank you for your help,

-Dave

In Microsoft Project Professional, click Tools - Resource Leveling. Select
the Manual option at the top of the dialog and then click OK. Hope this
helps.

Dale,

Thanks for the advice, but this only changes the resource leveling for the
open project. Is there a way to turn it off for the enterprise?

We have turned it off in all our projects, but we are still experiencing end
dates getting thrown out 2 months or so based on resource allocation.

Thanks,

-Dave

The Manual setting in the Resource Leveling dialog is global for every
project, but is local to the user's PC. For some reason, have you changed
this setting on every user's PC? If so, you must reset it to Manual for
every user. Hope this helps.
