*Newbie* Want to unbind not have boxes linked to control

I am creating a form that we will not use for anything other than a fill in
form. I have created checkboxes, but I don't it to "store to duplicate data"
or bind to anything. I just want the user to be able to place a check mark
in there if they want to answer a check next to that question.
How do I do this?

There are no unbound controls in InfoPath, except for maybe the Expression Box, which isn't what you want.

What you can do is create a secondary data source from an XML file that provides fields for your check boxes. These fields will not get saved with the form, but can be used in your form.
