Newbie - what am I doing wrong???

I I am trying to create a shared notebook on a sharepoint website. I create
the notebook on my laptop (multiple users) and provide the correct location
on the sharepoint website. As long as I am working, the notebook syncs
correctly and I can go online and find the exact tabs, etc. on the website.
When I reboot or try to access the notebook on line from the laptop or
another computer, only part of the notebook is showing on the laptop though
it is all on the website.

I'm sure there is something simple that I am doing wrong, I just don't know
what.....Any help would be appreciated.....

What do you mean that you "create" the notebook on your laptop?
Do you physically create a notebook file on the laptop?

This would be the wrong the way with ON 2007.
The concept there is to not have any notebook stored on the laptop.
One just *opens* a notebook from the shared location.
Working on the laptop is then done on ON's cache.

As long as the device is connected to the LAN, changes are
automatically synched.
When the laptop is disconnected, one continues to work with the data
in the cache (as long as a notebook is not closed).
When reconnected to the net, data are automatically synched in both
directions.

I'm not explaning this very well.... I have a laptop and a desktop - both
are which are connected to the internet. I click "new" notebook on my laptop
and pick multiple computers. I then pick the sharepoint site and the
computer syncs with the sharepoint.

Files are on the laptop and the sharepoint site. Tsome, but not all of the
files then "disappear" from my laptop.

Also, how do I "share" the notebook? when I go to my desktop and go to the
sharepoint site, I have to open one folder at a time and then it is not
organized, the files are all out of order, not in the right sections - jsut a
mess.....I know I am making a stupid error - I just don't know what it is...

What I am trying to do is:

Have a central location so that several people can add their notes to
particular sections and we can all view/share them.....How do I do this????

aab - sometimes it can take a long time - 5-10 min - for the initial sync on
the second machine to complete on SharePoint. We have however seen some times
when the initial sync never seems to complete, and we're still tracking that
down. If you leave OneNote open for a very long time (like overnight) does
the sync ever complete?

Also, do you know what version of SharePoint you're saving to?
