Hi,
I'm new to this group and have Frontpage 2000. I am having difficulty
figuring out how to put music on my site but make the user download it. How
do I go about this?
Thanks,
Mike

Not sure your question? You want downloadable links?

JUst drag the music into the FRontPage folder and FP will import it
into the web. Then, create a link

filename.mp3

Hi All,
I think I know what Mike is asking. I will try to clarify his question
because I recently encountered something similar using FP 2002.

I dragged and dropped a movie file onto a page in my site. When visitors
load the page, the movie automatically starts and plays.

I have seen other sites where the visitor needs to click the link to the
movie to download and play it.

Now my attempt to answer the question- I think that rather than dragging
and dropping the movie, a hover button or link to the movie could be
inserted onto the page which links to the movie. This would cause the music
or movie file to not download until the visitor clicked on the link
requesting the movie or music.

Also, I would make a new folder for music files and movie files to store
those files in just like the images file that seems to appear
automatically.

To take this a step further in the case of movies, two versions of the movie
could be stored. One for broadband users and one for dial-up. Then two
links could be inserted giving visitors the choice of a larger or smaller
music or movie file to download.
