Newest Office Update

Has anyone been having freezing or slowing issues since the newest
update? Everything has slowed down. Lose scroll and can't get it back
without quitting and restarting the program. Just real annoying little
things that are a pain. Is there anyway to fix this without having to
trash the program and reinstall?

Are you using a Mac, and specifically Office 2004? If you're with
Windows, you're in the wrong group (apparently Microsoft's web
interface for these things is rubbish: it's not your fault!) The
latest Office for Mac update only does something for printing issues,
so I would have thought that your slowing down is coincidental.

Have you repaired permissions? That often sorts things out. Trash
and reinstall is unlikely to help.

I'm on a MacBook and yes its Office 2004. The update fixed my printing
problems, but thats when everything else started as well. I thought
about trashing and reinstalling and updating only to 11.3.7, where I
was before even the printing problems started.

Hi Maria -

As PhilD pointed out there was nothing about the 11.3.8 or11.3.9 updates
that should cause such problems. Have you run Disk Utility - Repair Disk
Permissions since applying the update?

Is your MacBook an Intel or PPC? Which specific level of OS X are you
running? Have you made any other changes/updates recently?

MacBook is an Intel running OS 10.4.10 have not updated to 4.11. Ran
Disk Utility, nothing came up. Same with disk repair. Not sure what
else to do now.
