Newly installed Access "gathers info" but does not launch

I have installed Access 2003 (I already have other Office products). When
tyring to launch it says "gathering required information" but program does
not launch. Help!

Ian,

Sorry no answer but I have the exactly the same problem. Tried re-installing
etc - all other office components work fine. Access did originally work but
stopped without notice. I have searched extensively and hope we get an answer
soon.
