News gone from Go menu

I put the News item on the Go menu as instructed in Outlook 2003 help. It
appeared and worked the first time and I was able to configure the Outlook
Express news reader to go to the MVP newsgroups and all seemed fine. Now when
I click on the Go menu the News item is no longer there. I tried to repeat
the process of adding the News to the menu but now under the customize, the
command tab, then Go the News item is no longer there either so it can not be
replaced. What happened to the News command? It seems to have disappeared.
Thanks,

Having gone thru this before, by trial and error I remembered how to do it.
You have to set Outlook Express to be your default newsreader. If you click
"Yes" to make the Outlook newsreader the default the News item disappears
from the menu. You have to open Outlook Express and make it the default
newsreader and then the News item returns to the Go menu. Makes no sense but
that is how it works. Answered my own question.
