Hi Norm,

I sent two separate posts to this microsoft.public.mac.office newsgroup at
1:30 a.m. Pacific Coast time, Sept. 14. Now, 15 hours later, neither post
shows up via Entourage's Microsoft News Server.

I can see them connecting to the same server through MacSoup...
A cache problem on your Mac ??

Hi Norm,
The re-sends show up fine, Corentin, just not the originals.

Well I saw them both... When I checked yesterday there was a copy that
was 16 hours old and another one 0 hours old....

Beth R and I saw this happen as well. I understood the MS explanation to be
something like this, in my non-technical rendition:

The MS News Server is apparently not just one server that we connect to. We
connect to subservers that sync with a master server, and sometimes the
subservers aren't sync-ed properly. So posts can vanish from our download,
but might re-appear if we hit a different server next time.

I believe there's nothing to be done but report it and make sure that is in
fact the problem.

Thanks very much for sharing the explanation, Dayo. I was patient for more
than 15 hours but then was concerned on not only loss of my own posts, but
also those of others who may have posted in the wee hours. It's assuring
to know one is not alone in experiencing such a glitch.

Respectfully, Norm
