Newsletter looses it's format

When I get a newsletter in Outlook from the main office, it looses it's HTML
format. The line below says there is a fix. Does anyone know what settings
they are referring to?

Please note that the HTML format sometimes loses it original form when you
forward it to others. This is a function of the computer settings on your
computer and your recipient's computer.

No information in any of the above. What version of Outlook? What type of
account? Where did that statement appear originally? Are you trying to
read the message in the Reading Pane or opening it? No one can help you if
you don't provide sufficient detail.
