newsletter master page

The "master page" and "content" tabs are supposed to be at the bottom right of my newsletter when viewed in publishing layout, but I can't get them back. Suggestions?

The first thing to check is Word> Preferences> View, confirm the checks for
both Status Bar as well as Horizontal Scroll Bar. If the tabs don't return
or don't operate as they should, switch to a different window then back
again to refresh the screen - it appears the tabs occasionally can be a bit
cantankerous when first restored.

If that doesn't resolve it be certain that Office (12.1.5) & OS X (10.5.6)
are fully updated & restart your Mac.
