NEWSLETTER TEMPLATE

I need to find out how to add a page to the Word newsletter template after I've already set the page number and started creating the document.

Assuming you are in Publishing Layout view, the Insert menu should offer
New Page and Duplicate Page.

What do you mean by "set the page number"? What does that have to do
with this?

No, actually I work on an Apple Mac Mini and Publisher is not compatible so I am using Microsoft Word. There are some templates available and one of them is a newsletter template. When you first set up the newsletter template, it gives you the option of how many pages you want the newsletter. We create the newsletter so we never really know how many pages it will be when we're done. We chose 6 pages. . .the max you can choose is 8 pages. Now we need one more page. I have tried to insert a page but all it does is insert some space. . .about a page, however it also takes away the templates format on that particular blank page so it doesn't look the same as all of the other pages.

Word 2008 has a Publishing Layout view within it. You need to state what
version of Word you are using to get accurate help.

Go to Word | About Word, it will tell you.

Also, please don't bottom-post through the Mactopia forum--it makes your
added text show up as quoted text in newsreaders.

*Please* type your reply at the *TOP* of the window, *above* the quoted
text, not below the quoted text. When you type at the bottom, it is
impossible for people who don't use the web version of the forum to
distinguish your reply from the quoted text. Thus, they will ignore your
post as containing nothing new.

I find that if I drag-select a page, selecting whatever it lets me
select, and then hit copy, I get a duplicate of the page. Even though it
doesn't look like I selected the entire page. Try that.

If that doesn't work, another option would be to start a new newsletter
from the template and create your page 7 in a different file, delete the
pages you don't want, then combine the files. You can combine the files
in Word using Insert | File, or print them to PDF and combine the PDF
using a utility like PDFLab.

Thank you so much for your help. I have sent your response to my boss so she can try it out and see if it works. I appreciate your patience. Have a great weekend!
