Newspaper style columns

Hi Folks,

In Word97, I have no trouble creating the newspaper
columns I require but toggling between columns at will to
add/modify text is a problem.

Is there a straightforward way of toggling/jumping to a
selected column?

Please advise. Thanks,

I used Word 97 for five years, and during that time I created a four-column
newsletter every week (as I still do with Word 2002). In this regard Word 97
works just the same as any other version. You can use the mouse to move the
cursor to a "target" anywhere in the document. Naturally, it is not possible
to place the insertion point anywhere that you do not already have text. If
that's what you were asking, then you can begin a new column arbitrarily by
entering a column break (Ctrl+Shift+Enter).
