newsreader in office outlook 2007

I read where Outlook can connect with Windows Live in Vista and access its'
Newsreader for newsgroups. I put the icon on the tool bar for news and
nothing happens when I press it. I have XP Home SP3, Windows Live Mail and
Microsoft Office 2007. Can it work in XP? Are there any lines I can put in
Regedit?

Thank you,
David

Diane,

It worked after I restarted my system. When Windows 7 is release, I hope we
are able to choose how we set up the mail handler. I have Office Outlook
2007. All I need is a Newsreader. As it stands now, I Have Windows Live
Mail just for the Newsreader. This is overkill.

There are any number of freeware and commercial newsreaders available on the
Internet.
