I am using the next record field to print several merged names on the same piece of paper. This works fine except when starting a new page it goes back to the next record. Perhaps easier to explain with exampl

Bob Wood Sid James David Co
Sid James David Coe John Lydo

Hi =?Utf-8?B?a3dvbw==?=,
I am using the next record field to print several merged names on the same
piece of paper. This works fine except when starting a new page it goes back
to the next record. Perhaps easier to explain with example
Page 1 page 2 page 3
Tom Smith Mabel Jones Bob Wood
Mabel Jones Bob Wood Sid James
Bob Wood Sid James David Coe
Sid James David Coe John Lydon
Dave Coe John lydon
John Lydon

What I am after is the names to all run consecutively 6 to a page
Any ideas what I am doing wrong
I'm not certain I understand exactly what's happening.

1. Which version of Word are we dealing with and what's the data source?

2. Is this a "form letter" type of setup, labels, or catalog? Have you tried
setting up for a catalog, leaving out the NEXT fields?

3. Are you actually seeing the duplication of names, with one less appearing
(something I can't imagine mail merge is doing)? Or did you just copy/paste
the same names for convenience's sake?

Can you show us how the main merge document is setup?

simply enter "nextrecord" six times at the top of the next column - that way it will go to the sixth entry after the first in the next column - however, you will have to advance to the 19th entry for your next page if you are printin

hope that helps
