I've come to understand from posts to this NG that OneNote SP2 may be
released before then.

I've come to understand from posts to this NG that OneNote SP2 may be
released before then.

Yes, SP2 will be released before the next full version of OneNote. I'd
guess (and this is not official) that we'll probably see SP2 sometime late
this year or maybe early next year.

Unlike SP1, however, don't expect SP2 to add many (if any) new features.
It will primarily be bug fixes and such.

You might try going to http://beta.microsoft.com -- I'm not sure if they
have a section where you can apply to be on a future beta there or not.
Worth a look anyhow.
