nicknames not working in Outlook 2003

I've just upgraded to Office 2003. Nicknames are no longer working. That is,
when I type a nickname, it is not found.

I have tried looking for *.NK2 to reset the cache and it doesn't seem to
exist on my machine.

Any suggestions?

Explain what you mean by "nicknames are no longer working." What were you
expecting to happen that isn't? Outlook has never used nicknames except in
the long abandoned IMO mode.
