NLPGERMAN.log on my desk

Hi Guys,
..... and Gals !

I wonder what the file NLPGERMAN.log means and does , whenever I use
my liscenced Microsoft Office for Mac Version v.X (in german)

It appears on my desk once in a while also in my folders where saved
docs are and I don't know if this needs to be, I can stop that process
creating them and what are they good for.

Never had that with my former office versions and therefore it bothers
me a little.

Can someone please send me small info as you cracks surely know about
it.

I don't have the German edition, and the only thing I could find
doing a search of the archives, is that John McGhie doesn't know

and if *HE* doesn't know, the rest of us mere mortals don't stand a
chance. Perhaps only Microsoft knows - and maybe not even them.
I've put a bug in an ear at MS to see if an explanation/solution can
be found...

I would think it's safe to delete it, though.

Do you have Adobe Acrobat 6 installed? I've read some reports that the Word
Add-In creates such files on the Mac, though I don't know what they are for.
In case Acrobat *is* the culprit, I'd report it to Adobe support.

Hi there,

I don't think this NLPGERMAN.log stuff has got to do with Acrobat 6.
We have this log-file problem on every Mac running Office X in our
office and most of these Macs do not have Acrobat 6 installed. My Mac
is the only Mac that runs Acrobat 6 but I've had it installed only
about 2 weeks ago and the NLPGERMAN.log problem already occured before
that.
I've found a very interesting posting in another discussion group.
They think it has got something to do with the language processing in
Office X. Just click on the link below:

This will not solve the problem, but it is at least interesting to
