No access to IE

Since I installed SP2 a week ago I can no longer access to IE via link
embedded in OneNote 2003 SP1 page. I get this message instead: "Impossible
to open. Server Proxy or Internet not found". Any idea ?

Can you clarify? Is it that IE doesn't open up at all? Or that IE opens
up but cannot display the page? Where does the "proxy" error message show
up?

Could you also post the exact text of the error message as it appears on
your screen?

Nope. IE doesn't open up at all and the message pops up right after clicking
on the link. The exact text is in italian and is the one on my earlier post
translated into english. However it reads like this:

Impossibile aprire
....whatever link.....
Server proxy o Internet non trovato

Erik. I hope this helps.

Can you otherwise use IE if you double-click on the IE icon on the
desktop?

Is IE set as your default browser? Go to Internet Explorer, Tools |
Internet Options | Programs tab | Ensure that "Internet Explorer should
check to see whether it is the default browser" is checked.

Yes I can.
The strange thing is that the same link copied/pasted into word gets IE to
open up.
Yes. "Verify whether Internet Explorer is the default browser" box is
checked.
