I was given a computer.the family moved away. when i try
to boot, it asks for a password???when i try to get into
setup, it asks for password three times , then stops
running( when wrong word is typed) I tried a number of
o.s.boot disks .and it will not even list dir. do not
know what system is installed.......any idea on how to get
into setup page??????

try removing the Battery from the motherboard, so that the
password is disabled, or try tapping the END key on
keyboard when u boot the computer, it may disable the
password, its better if u remove the battery, or look for
jumper settings to clear CMOS,
